Christmas Day Festivities

Family fun and flaming pudding!

Now the Christmas decorations are packed away for another year I wanted to share some of the delights we enjoyed on Christmas day 2016.  After our walk from Swettenham (see my blog post 'Winter walks in Cheshire' from 28th December) we had a wonderful family gathering which included the youngest members of the family, in fact is was Emma's first Christmas, and probably the first one Matthew can remember.

The two youngest had fun with their bouncing Rudolph reindeers, Emma was just a little too young to balance properly but Matthew absolutely loved it - in fact he bounced so much the photos were blurred!

Lucy, Matthew's sister, looked quite the superstar with her guitar and rock star specs! She really likes rainbows and was sporting matching rainbow jumper, socks and hair slide.

Our nephew, niece and their families live in London and we don't see them that often so it is lovely to spend the day together and get to know the children better. Especially getting cuddles from the little ones.

After the presents it was time for a splendid meal, complete with crackers and party hats of course.

Then, the piece de resistance, the best flaming Christmas pud we have ever had!

What a wonderful Christmas day.
