A Celebration of Healthy Food
Rawr Juice and Superfood Bar in Hanley
A place to try something new, be kind to yourself and unwind. We discovered this healthy food bar while strolling around Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, looking for somewhere to have a quick coffee. It looked just like my kind of place with pared down decor and fun things to eat and drink.Encouraged to go upstairs we found ourselves a couple of easy chairs and an intriguing choice of food and drinks.

With dishes such as 'Things can only get Feta' , 'Turn up the Beet' and 'Currynation Treat' you can be entertained just reading the menu. Vegetarians, vegans and those with food intolerances are very well catered for. There is a wide choice of milks (dairy or plant based) to have with your coffee or tea, and there are raw juices and smoothies galore. On a cold winter's day I can imagine snuggling up with a wicked Hellraiser hot chocolate (with a touch of chilli) and browsing through their shelf of books to borrow.

Although we had only gone in for a coffee we succumbed to The Mexicana sandwich to share, which came with a pot of coleslaw and a chilli spiced orange wedge. Very tasty. |
The Mexicana |
The Mexicana sandwich - hummus, avocado, chilli jam, cherry tomatoes, rocket and coriander.
You will find Rawr on Piccadilly in Hanley, near the Regent theatre. There is also a Rawr in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
The coffee was very good too, by the way.
